Hi Everyone,
I have created a new blog which houses all my "photoquotes".
As you probably know, I love collecting quotes and taking photos of course. Now I have combined these two loves into what I call as "photoquotes".
If you need a daily dose of inspiration, then this is just the site for you. Please check it out and follow me over there too. Here is the link: http://getinspired-photoquotes.blogspot.com/
And here is an example of what you will find there:
See you there!

Aliwan Festival
It's almost that time of the year again! I mean fiesta or festival time!
I'm sharing here a photo taken during the Aliwan Festival 2 years ago. This is the mother of all festivals as it includes the contingent from other regions of the Philippines. This year, it's going to be held on April 11 - 13, 2013.
I have written about this festival in my HubPages. Here is the link: http://jill-of-alltrades.hubpages.com/hub/I-Recommend-the-Aliwan-Festival-in-the-Philippines

The Heart Relic of Saint Camillus
I just experienced one of the most spiritually uplifting days in my life!
I was part of the Documentation Committee during the visit of the heart relic of Saint Cammillus to the church of the Camillian Sisters in our subdivision. I wrote about this visit in my hub here:

A Year at RedBubble
It's been a little over a year now since I joined RedBubble - an art community.
I am enjoying my membership there and have gained some close friends as well as several acquaintances. Many of the photos that I have posted here (like the photo above) are also found in my RedBubble site. However, they are available as hires photos because you can sell art works in the site.
I also enjoy joining the many challenges in RB because I am challenged to go out of my comfort zone in terms of my photography.
I am happy to say that I have won some of the challenges but of course I also lost some. However, I can say that everything is fun! fun! fun!
Not only that, I have also sold some works (cards) in RedBubble. I am just happy that somebody appreciated my work well enough to part with his/her money and buy some of my cards. Right now, my most popular work is this:
http://www.redbubble.com/people/lensbaby/works/7193070-doing-small-things-with-great-love?c=81937-sold
It's a photo of some grasses which I coupled with a quote from Mother Teresa. Somebody loved it so much and bought 40 copies of this. Imagine that! I danced with joy when I learned about it. I don't even know who the buyer is so I thanked him/her publicly in RedBubble.
So this is how far I have gone in my photography now.
You can see a running slide show of my works in RedBubble in the links section at the right side of this blog.

Playing with Gradients Again
I am not yet through playing with gradients and blending. I came up with this happy result while doing so.
This is really so much fun and the results sometimes surprise me. What do you think?
By the way, there is a bigger version of this photo in my RedBubble site. Please click on the following link

Happy Easter Using Gradient Tool
I just recently discovered the beauty of using the "gradient tool" in Photoshop and I had fun playing with some of my photos and creating fun cards.
Here is an example:
I love the softness created by the gradient. I actually created several layers here and then used the gradient tool for the final blending of the layers.
Have a Happy Easter!!!
